Printing, embroidery, jacquard and burnt-out are all techniques often used in clothing fabrics and home textile products. There are various patterns of clothing fabrics and home textile products on the market, and they are often decorated with printing, embroidery, jacquard and burnt-out. So, what is the difference between the four crafts of printing, embroidery, jacquard and burnt-out?

Printing is to adjust various dyes and pigments into printing paste, which is applied locally on the fabric to obtain various patterns.

Printing can be divided into reactive printing and pigment printing:

1. Reactive printing: the printing formed by using reactive dyes to penetrate into the fabric;

2. Pigment printing: the printing formed by covering the fabric with paint.

Reactive printed fabrics are bright in color, good in color fastness, soft to the touch and will not fade after washing; pigment printing and dyeing are dyed and printed after the cloth is woven, and generally it is easy to fade. There are many options for printing patterns, and printing is mainly used in cellulose fiber fabrics, silk fabrics, chemical fibers and blended fabrics.

embroidered
Embroidery fabric is a kind of fabric material, mostly pure cotton, lace and so on. Traditional fabrics are produced without any color and need to be dyed again. Embroidery fabrics are embroidered with machine-embroidered flower patterns after dyeing and processing. There are many kinds of embroidery, and various beautiful patterns can be embroidered, and it is not easy to fade, and has good air permeability and moisture absorption.

Embroidery can be divided into color embroidery and applique embroidery:

1. Color embroidery: it generally refers to the technique of embroidery of patterns with various colored embroidery threads. Its colors are bright and are widely used in clothing and bedding. Color embroidery is rich in color variations, and different color effects are produced through the overlapping, juxtaposition, and interlacing of various colored embroidery threads. The trocar stitch method is the most distinctive, with the blending of shades and shades, which has the rendering effect of traditional Chinese painting.

2. Appliqué embroidery: also known as appliqué embroidery, and appliqué embroidery in Suzhou embroidery also belongs to this category. Cut the patch according to the pattern requirements, and paste it on the embroidery surface. You can also pad cotton and other things between the patch and the embroidery surface to make the pattern bulge and have a three-dimensional effect. After pasting, use various stitches to lock the edges. The embroidery method is simple and the style is unique.

Jacquard
Jacquard fabric is to directly weave patterns into the fabric, and use warp and weft yarns of different colors to interweave and interweave up and down to form patterns of different colors. Jacquard fabrics can be divided into woven, warp-knitted and weft-knitted jacquards. The weft-knitted fabric has good elasticity in the horizontal and vertical directions, while the warp-knitted and woven jacquard has no elasticity. Jacquard fabric has fine texture, smooth texture, good gloss, good hand feeling, good drapability and air permeability, high color fastness (yarn dyeing), no deformation, no fading, and good comfort when used. Compared with printed and embroidered fabrics , the jacquard process is more complicated and the cost is higher.

burnt out

Burnt-out fabric, also known as guipure fabric, is a new type of fabric. Burnt-out fabric is made of two kinds of fibers with different acid resistance, blended or spun into core-spun yarn, used as warp and weft yarn to weave into burnt-out fabric gray cloth, and then processed in acid solution through printing and dyeing process, so that the fabric that is not acid-resistant That part of the fiber is dissolved and rotted, which becomes a burnt-out fabric. The main feature of the fabric is that it has a transparent, concave-convex pattern, novel pattern, and clear outline appearance characteristics, similar to arts and crafts, and is well received by users and consumers at home and abroad. It is one of my country's textile export products and is welcomed by the international market. one of the species. At present, burnt-out fabrics are mainly used as decorative cloths, such as tablecloths, curtains, seat covers, bedspreads, pillowcases, summer clothes, handkerchiefs, etc. for room decoration.
